Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn is an American film television and theatre actress. She's been an professional actor for the past 27 years. Her first stage appearance was in 1990, when she performed an Off Broadway production of The Big Funk directed by John Patrick Shanley. In the following year she was chosen for her first television role, The Perfect Tribute. When she was a supporting character in the film Basic Instinct, her career took off. It was in the movie The Firm however that she was cast as the woman leading the film for just the first time. She was cast in the film alongside actors like Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. In the 90s she worked with a variety of top industry stars including Gwyneth Palow for Sliding Door Hugh Grant Mickey Blue Eyes Julie Andrews Relative Values.
